The Japanese have a pancake recipe that is incredibly light and fluffy and, most importantly, very easy to make - soufflé pancakes. In Japanese, we call this kind of texture "Fuwa Fuwa" which is a mimetic word which means "Fluffy". I have tried to recreate that airy fluffiness and thickness without using a mould like I used for the " Extra Thick and Fluffy Japanese Pancake " recipe I.

Bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat Japanese Souffle Pancake :
- Bahan A.
- 2 kuning telur.
- I sdt Vanilla essence.
- 1,5 sdt Susu Cair.
- Bahan B.
- 35 gr Tepung terigu.
- I sdt Baking powder.
- Bahan C.
- 2 putih telur.
- 1,5 sdm gula pasir.
Whisk together the flour, confectioners' sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Whisk together the milk, melted butter, vanilla and egg yolk in a medium bowl until combined. Basically, souffle pancakes share the same foundation of normal pancakes but prepared similarly to a souffle. While it takes a little more effort, it's definitely worth it when you bite into the soft and fluffy goodness that is the Japanese Souffle Pancakes.
Langkah-langkah untuk membuat Japanese Souffle Pancake :
- Aduk rata Bahan A dengan whisk.
- Masukkan Bahan B yg sudah diayak, aduk rata sebentar.
- Kocok putih telur sampai berbusa, masukkan gula bertahap, kocok sampai kaku.
- Ambil kocokan putih telur sebagian masukkan ke dalam adonan A+B, aduk rata, kemudian tuang ke sisa putih telur, aduk rata.
- Panaskan Teflon, oles sedikit minyak (pakai tisu).
- Setelah Teflon panas tuang 2 sendok sayur (kecil) adonan, tutup Teflon masak selama 2 menit dengan api kecil, setelah 2 menit tambahkan 1 sendok sayur lagi adonan di atasnya, masak lagi 2 menit kemudian balik, masak hingga matang (permukaan coklat), angkat sisihkan.
- Beri topping sesuai selera, misal dengan maple syrup, madu, mentega, selai, dll. Tapi tanpa topping pun udah enak banget ko, anak² suka, mertua juga, enak katanya 😊.
- Kalau mau lebih tebal saat penambahan adonan bisa ditambahkan 2 sendok sayur jangan 1 sendok, tapi ini udah cukup tebal dibanding pancake buttermilk, Dan ini lembutnya kempus² kaya chiffon cake 👌.
